We have had a really quiet day today...lazy morning again, breakfast, dropped some washing off to the Laundry (70baht per kg = approx. $2.30) Comes back clean, ironed and folded!!!! We headed to the tailors this morning. Jason and I are getting some clothes made (a little more expensive than the laundry!) We had lunch back at the resort (a bit of western food) and had some quiet time! In the afternoon we headed over to Patong. We went to the night markets and had some dinner. A Suki Hot Pot at MK. This was yum! A suki hot pot is a little like the old fondue...communal dinner but more like soup. 🍜 Tonight at the market we found some shirts for Jason. The best thing about this was the salesman. Normally they are trying to convince you to buy something you don’t want (in all honesty this guy was probably the same) however he was definitely the best salesman so far. His English was pretty good and his knowledge of Aussie slang was great...how are ya mate, gday, bloody hell, fri...
Today was a day of pampering 😃 We started with a lazy morning...sleep in, late breakfast! Then we headed to Patong in a taxi. We spent our day at Jungceylon, shopping! After lunch we found a place for Jan and I to have a manicure, pedicure and our nails done. Jason and Brayden did some more shopping and had a fish foot spa 🐠 I think the fish were hungry and by the time they had finished needed no more to eat for the day!!! Got a gorgeous shot of the sunset tonight... ...after our Tuk Tuk ride home (Brayden’s request) We then headed to Karon for dinner and a little more pampering...💆🏼♀️💆🏻♂️💅🏻 A stop at the Karon Aussie first... Dinner... Thank you Jason for buying us leis x Then to the massage 💆🏼♀️ parlour... Brayden and Jason - Pedicures and foot massage. Jan and I had back and shoulder massages. A first for Jan...not sure she will ever forget about it or stop talking about what little they didn’t massage!!!! 😂 Finally dessert and home (via another Tuk Tu...
What an amazing day! After a magnificent breakfast at our hotel it was time to check out! At 10am, Geoff, Chalor, Poi and Arnut picked us up from our hotel. We travelled down Sukhumvit Rd with no idea where we were going! Geoff didn't want us to know...it was a surprise!! Well, as we turned the corner our breath was taken away by the most amazing three headed elephant. We were heading to the Erawan Museum. The Erawan Museum, according to the founder Lek Viriyaphant's ideal wish, was aimed to serve as a showcase of the spirit of Asia where the essence of Arts and 4 major religions have been preserved in order to make known to Asian people and the world the foundation of the eastern civilisation cultivated and transmitted through the philosophical inspiration. An absolutely amazing place.... We headed to Mega Bang Na for lunch and treated the youngsters to the last western meal for 8 days ( McDonalds - Arnut was in his element!) We then travelled nearly 2 hours to get to Pak Hai...
