Another day in paradise!

Not a lot to report today...a very quiet day!
Lots of rest (a little bruised and battered after yesterday), reading, swimming and relaxing. 

We went for another fitting this afternoon...picking up our clothes tomorrow. 😊
Then we strolled around the markets and along Karon Beach. 
The sunset was gorgeous (not sure my photos do it justice).
 


Every night on Karon Beach people purchase these lanterns that they light and then they take off like a hot air balloon. They are beautiful to watch, got some photos tonight.
There are usually plenty of fireworks as well. Legal or not we haven’t worked out????







We headed for dinner and unfortunately we had the worst meal we have ever had and the worst service. It was only today I was telling a couple from Melbourne that you can’t go wrong...spoke to soon!!!!





After we finally had dinner we headed for another massage...we have the last few nights been having foot massages 💆🏼‍♀️ 💆🏻‍♂️ 
For all 4 of tonight it cost us a total of $33!!!
A great way to end the day!

    Well one day to go before you fly on to Bangkok; be safe.
    What was the problem with the meal or were the other places just exceptional?

      Everything is generally exceptional 😊 However, very disappointed that the green curry (which is usually spicy) had no spice at all!!!! Everything tasted the same!

After leaving Santa Fe early on Sunday morning we arrived in LA at about 1pm. The stopover in Denver was much more pleasant... However, we walked all the way to our gate to find out the we need to go half the way back as our gate had changed. Thank goodness we had plenty of time. Day 10

Today we stayed close to town.  We didn't meet till 7:45 so a bit of a sleep in before we had a quick debrief and off to the first school.  Today we started with a local elementary school that has just completed a turn around program. A turn around program is essentially a program for an extremely poor performing school and involves the sacking of at least 50% of staff and usually the principal along with an extensive plan of reform. The up side is the school then receives substantial financial benefit for a three year period with the view to turn the schools performance around.  This school received $1.2m per year as a result and has gone from the 9 th lowest ranking school in New Mexico to one of the best over the past 4 years. One of the initiatives undertaken involved the extension of the school day by 1 hour every day. A Quiet Day

We started the day at 7am when we left for the Monday market. We wandered around the market and Geoff and Chalor grabbed some product for the shop. We picked up some cheap clothing. Not much though. We then headed home for coffee and breakfast. We spent the day doing very little. Brayden has enjoyed doing the washing whilst we have been away. Poi showed him how to use their twin tub. I have told him that I am set now...he can do the washing all the time...he doesn't believe me that pressing the on button on our front loader is so much easier than the twin tub.  As we have done very little today here are some photos that we have taken here in Lat Chit. This is looking out from the front of the house... This is taken from the rice farms looking back to the house... This photo was taken as we were driving home from Ayutthaya yesterday and the sun was setting... Jason slept for a few hours this afternoon and has just said to me..."Maybe I should have had a sleep this afternoon!!...
