Pampering day!

Today was a day of pampering 😃
We started with a lazy morning...sleep in, late breakfast!
Then we headed to Patong in a taxi. 
We spent our day at Jungceylon, shopping!



After lunch we found a place for Jan and I to have a manicure, pedicure and our nails done. 
Jason and Brayden did some more shopping and had a fish foot spa 🐠 I think the fish were hungry and by the time they had finished needed no more to eat for the day!!!

We then headed to Karon for dinner and a little more pampering...💆🏼‍♀️💆🏻‍♂️💅🏻

Jan and I had back and shoulder massages. A first for Jan...not sure she will ever forget about it or stop talking about what little they didn’t massage!!!! 😂





Finally dessert and home (via another Tuk Tuk)
Our desserts were 😋 yum! A little like Thailand’s version of cold rock I guess!!
Maybe we should buy a franchise and bring it to Rutherglen!!! (As long as our trips back to Thailand for “research” are tax deductible)







Have decided today that I’m not sure I want to come home...resort life in Thailand is too good!!! 😊

After leaving Santa Fe early on Sunday morning we arrived in LA at about 1pm. The stopover in Denver was much more pleasant... However, we walked all the way to our gate to find out the we need to go half the way back as our gate had changed. Thank goodness we had plenty of time. I'm not sure that Airport Transfer drivers get tickets for speeding here....our driver was crazy - thank goodness we were second stop...I seriously felt safer on Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom (the high speed roller coaster in the dark)!!! Day 10

Today we stayed close to town.  We didn't meet till 7:45 so a bit of a sleep in before we had a quick debrief and off to the first school.  Today we started with a local elementary school that has just completed a turn around program. A turn around program is essentially a program for an extremely poor performing school and involves the sacking of at least 50% of staff and usually the principal along with an extensive plan of reform. The up side is the school then receives substantial financial benefit for a three year period with the view to turn the schools performance around.  This school received $1.2m per year as a result and has gone from the 9 th lowest ranking school in New Mexico to one of the best over the past 4 years. One of the initiatives undertaken involved the extension of the school day by 1 hour every day. A Quiet Day

We started the day at 7am when we left for the Monday market. We wandered around the market and Geoff and Chalor grabbed some product for the shop. We picked up some cheap clothing. Not much though. We then headed home for coffee and breakfast. We spent the day doing very little. Brayden has enjoyed doing the washing whilst we have been away. Poi showed him how to use their twin tub. I have told him that I am set now...he can do the washing all the time...he doesn't believe me that pressing the on button on our front loader is so much easier than the twin tub.  As we have done very little today here are some photos that we have taken here in Lat Chit. This is looking out from the front of the house... This is taken from the rice farms looking back to the house... This photo was taken as we were driving home from Ayutthaya yesterday and the sun was setting... Jason slept for a few hours this afternoon and has just said to me..."Maybe I should have had a sleep this afternoon!!...
