After leaving Santa Fe early on Sunday morning we arrived in LA at about 1pm. The stopover in Denver was much more pleasant... However, we walked all the way to our gate to find out the we need to go half the way back as our gate had changed. Thank goodness we had plenty of time. I'm not sure that Airport Transfer drivers get tickets for speeding here....our driver was crazy - thank goodness we were second stop...I seriously felt safer on Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom (the high speed roller coaster in the dark)!!! We spent the afternoon orientating ourselves in LA. We are staying just above Hollywood Boulevarde so we took a quick walk along the Boulevarde to check out the stars. They go on and on forever. We saw some "interesting" sights...but I might leave that story for Brayden to share! Got harassed by every single tour company and dressed character - not to mention the "upcoming stars" signing CDs!!!! LA is a very very interesting place!!! We headed back t...
We started the day at 7am when we left for the Monday market. We wandered around the market and Geoff and Chalor grabbed some product for the shop. We picked up some cheap clothing. Not much though. We then headed home for coffee and breakfast. We spent the day doing very little. Brayden has enjoyed doing the washing whilst we have been away. Poi showed him how to use their twin tub. I have told him that I am set now...he can do the washing all the time...he doesn't believe me that pressing the on button on our front loader is so much easier than the twin tub. As we have done very little today here are some photos that we have taken here in Lat Chit. This is looking out from the front of the house... This is taken from the rice farms looking back to the house... This photo was taken as we were driving home from Ayutthaya yesterday and the sun was setting... Jason slept for a few hours this afternoon and has just said to me..."Maybe I should have had a sleep this afternoon!!...
We woke to this this morning... Rain and a storm. Our plans changed a little as we didn’t feel Gardens By the Bay would be worth it in the rain. Jason started the day with a traditional Asian style breakfast... We then headed off to see the ‘Merlion’ The Merlion is a form of welcome to the visitors to Singapore. A real tourist thing to do is pose with the Merlion with the water entering your mouth...we gave it a shot!! We decided to head to Orchard Road for some window shopping. How many Louis Vuitton or Victoria’s Secret shops can you have in one stretch??? The hands down winner though was the Magnum store...where you could create your own Magnum!!! We didn’t but watched a couple of other aussies create theirs! I found another scrapbooking store. Absolutely gorgeous. The walls and store were lined with gorgeous projects. Lots of great things to buy but I actually walked out with nothing 🤪 So unlike me!!! I also went to the store under our hotel...with nothing purchased the...
