We visited one of my favourite places in Bangkok today,  The Erawan Museum! History of Erawan Erawan Museum in Thailand is an important model of sculpture. The Erawan Museum is the door opening to the heritage of Thai culture. With a wide range of architectural symbols combined with fine arts and craftsmanship, structural layout and natural environment that integrate harmoniously, the Erawan Museum creates a kind of atmosphere that induces visitors to perceive and appreciate the continuity of history, cultures, religions, arts and customs of faith from past to it is located on an area of 12 acres by Thonburi Autumotive Assembly Plant Co., Ltd. The museum is built from the inspiration of Mr.  Lek Viriyaphant  Creator of the  Ancient City  and  Sanctuary of Truth  Pattaya City, Chonburi to provide a storage place for artifacts and heritage conservation areas and to continue to preserve traced artwork. Shopping, shopping and more shopping!

Today after our breakfast we decided to take the BTS Skytrain to the MBK Centre (a rather large shopping centre).  The Skytrain is very busy between our stop Asok (silent k...kills Brayden every time they say it!!!) and National Stadium, where you get off for MBK.  They still have plenty of decorations for Christmas up. Some very interesting ones... We walked around the shops for hours and Brayden did plenty of shopping. Every single bag we carried home was for him...even bags inside bags... We had lunch at the MBK Food Island...basically you put money on a card and you use this to purchase food from one of the many many food shops...so much to choose from so much so it is too tricky to choose.  When it came to dessert though Jason and Jan seemed to know exactly what they wanted... Oreo Crepe... Strawberry Crepe... We finished with a little more shopping and then headed back to the hotel for a swim and relaxing afternoon...shopping can be tiring! We headed for dinner a little later ton

Welcome to Bangkok!

Today we sadly left Mandarava Resort and Spa, Karon Beach, Phuket.  I know I was very sad...a step closer to reality of life returning...wish I could stay forever! We flew to Bangkok and will stay here for a few days.  Bangkok welcomed us in true style with plenty of traffic - probably not as bad as our first day in Phuket though.  I don’t recall too much about the airport last time we were here but today I noticed how large it was and how it had such gorgeous gardens as part of it.  After getting settled at the hotel (Grande Centre Point Terminal 21), it took a little as our room wasn’t ready we headed for the shops.  Jason grabbed some bourbon (the hotel is a dry hotel!!) And then we headed back and the boys had a swim.  We finished up with dinner in town....another yummy Thai dinner. We have all crashed - a little tired!!

Time goes so quickly... 😢

Today we have shared our last day in Phuket 😢 I know I don’t want to leave and neither does anyone else.  We headed up to visit the Big Buddha. Some gorgeous views  of Phuket Town, Chalong and Karon from there and the Buddha was exceptional.  We took Brayden Go Karting...not a cheap activity...   We did some more shopping, had lunch and returned to the resort for swimming and cocktails. Happy Hour (4-6pm)!!!! We got back to find this on our bed. How cute 😊 Our tailor delivered our clothes today to the resort. Very exciting!! We had dinner here at the resort titled as my “birthday dinner” It was a special Thai Buffet that they do maybe once a week. Jason and I got Buffet drinks too (all you can drink!!!) Here are sone photos...  There was even entertainment.... We are not looking forward to leaving but we have absolutely loved our time here. Our resort Mandarava Resort and Spa has been sensational we have loved the resort and would recommend it to anyone.  We fly out in the morning!
