Shopping, shopping and more shopping!

Today after our breakfast we decided to take the BTS Skytrain to the MBK Centre (a rather large shopping centre).

The Skytrain is very busy between our stop Asok (silent k...kills Brayden every time they say it!!!) and National Stadium, where you get off for MBK.

They still have plenty of decorations for Christmas up. Some very interesting ones...

We walked around the shops for hours and Brayden did plenty of shopping. Every single bag we carried home was for him...even bags inside bags...

We had lunch at the MBK Food Island...basically you put money on a card and you use this to purchase food from one of the many many food shops...so much to choose from so much so it is too tricky to choose.
When it came to dessert though Jason and Jan seemed to know exactly what they wanted...

Oreo Crepe...

Strawberry Crepe...

We finished with a little more shopping and then headed back to the hotel for a swim and relaxing afternoon...shopping can be tiring!

We headed for dinner a little later tonight and just went to Terminal 21 (which is a high end shopping centre) which our hotel is connected to. We went to a western restaurant called Santa Fe as Jan and Brayden were looking for some western food. The meals were rather average and after ordering we recalled having dinner here last time we were in Bangkok (same same!)

When we got back to the hotel I decided to have a relaxing bath...it was nice to relax a little! Well that was until I got out 😫 I released the plug and all of a sudden the bathroom started to flood...not with bath water though...with sewage (yes it was coming up through the drains in the floor of the bathroom!!!!!) OMG....it stunk. 🤢🤢💩

We called reception who sent someone up immediately- he almost died when he arrived!!!! He spoke to the technicians, who then spoke to Jason and told us that we would need to be moved 🤭

So there we were after 10pm...after I had had a relaxing bath and Jason was almost asleep having to pack our bags and move rooms. All we could hope was that we were moved to a better room (not that ours was bad at all).

So, we have been upgraded to an apartment...

Brayden is gutted!!!

Now I’m ready for bed!
Goodnight everyone!
