Day 3

We have arrived in Santa Fe!!

Today was a travel day. We started early with breakfast in Hollywood before checking out and heading to the airport. Our flights were bought forward at the last minute (not sure how they just bring your flight forward - but they do!) which meant a quick trip by our transfer drivers.

We arrived at LA airport, grabbed our bags and ran to the counter. We appear to have been reluctantly checked in as we were running late. We then had to get through very tight scanning and security with all of us getting through (after removing layers, shoes and belts) except Bill who kept getting returned for further scanning. We all waited at the gate for our shuttle to the bus but no Bill - we sent one back to assist and the rest of us had to go to the plane. Bill and Sally finally arrived just in time. Appears Bill was held up by Customs officers due to an oversized jar of Vegemite in his carry on luggage.

We arrived in Santa Fe - a desert surrounded by snow capped hills and mud brick structures. A beautiful place.

Checked into our rooms (very Mexican - as one might expect!!) then met with our study tour guide George Otero. We had some group bonding sessions followed by a walk through town and dinner at a very nice 5 star restaurant. Great food and beer.

Looking forward to an early start tomorrow as we head to Albuquerque to visit the first of many learning centres.

Great buildings. All buildings are of the same construction on colourings. Feels like a movie set.
