A Day in Lat Chit
Today was deemed a day of rest.
We were all a bit tired and we were happy to spend the day just around the house.
Geoff and Chalor's house is traditional Thai upstairs. Brayden is sleeping upstairs in the traditional roll out bedding that Thai's use.
The blue mosquito net is what he sleeps under.
The lower level of the house has a more westernised room, a store room, outdoor area and a second bathroom with a traditional drop toilet.
Brayden entertained the locals visiting the shop today and played with Geoff and Chalor's grandson, Arnut. He also became friendly with their nephew, Noon, who is the same age as him. It is very interesting to watch them play when neither of them have any idea what the other is saying...but it works quite well!
Late in the afternoon we all headed to the Phak Hai Wednesday Market. Very busy...everything from food to clothing and cosmetics.
Ok, all I can think about looking at those rat's is that time at your place when Ted had his Oscar winning performance! LOL!
ReplyDeleteJust said to Jason I bet Jenny's comment is about the rats...didn't even think about the Oscar Winning Performance!!! LOL Will never forget it!!!
ReplyDeleteWow - sounds incredible - hope you are enjoying everything - except the BBQ Rat !!!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you are having a great time without me. But I guess your meal will now make that ok. lol. Delicacy or not......No way, hunger and weight loss sound and in the end look much better. XX
