Bangkok - Day 3....Last Day

Well, sadly our last day in Bangkok and in Thailand has arrived. The time has gone so quickly.
It is hard to believe that we have done so much, seen so much and learnt so much. It is hard to pick one thing that is the stand out event!

We started the morning, after breakfast, saying goodbye to Geoff, Chalor and Poi. They were heading back to Lat Chit. We have been so lucky to have spent so much time with them, to be cared for, toured around and to have learnt about their country and culture. Thank you so much Geoff, Chalor and Poi, we will miss you all.

While I organised our luggage Brayden went for a swim and Jason went down with him. It was the first day in Bangkok that it hadn't been pouring rain...so Brayden could swim!

Here are some photos around the hotel...it was gorgeous!!

We checked out at noon and headed for some more shopping at MBK. We loved this shopping centre (and Brayden loved the Sky train to get there).

We had lunch at 'The Fifth Floor' at the MBK Centre. A fantastic set up. It is like a huge food court. When we walked in we were each handed a credit card loaded with 1000 baht (about $30). We could then walk around to any vendor we liked and have whatever food we liked, using the card to pay. Great when there are several people to keep happy. Like us!
Brayden was dying for pizza and Jason and I were happy to have probably our last Thai meal in Thailand.

We then went for a little wander around the MBK Centre.

We have truly loved Bangkok but can see why when booking our 2009 trip to Thailand it was advised that we didn't take young children to Bangkok...that it wasn't the place for kids!
Brayden has had his eyes opened to many different things...especially the Bangkok nightlife!!!!

We headed back to the hotel...where we showered and got a taxi to pick us up ready for the airport!!
Thinking we had heaps of time we got into the taxi at 6:50pm. It then took us until about 7:30pm to travel about 2kms...I was stressing!!! Another 23kms to go!
We ended up arriving at the airport at about 8:40pm.

Here are a few photos at the airport...

We flew out at 12:15am Saturday morning. Here is our final photo in Thailand...we aren't half tired!!!

Another awesome trip that was totally different to the last. But again we have come home thinking how very lucky we are to live where we do!!
